Karl Bro of Campbell River British Columbia Canada is a Professional Sport Fishing Guide on Vancouver Island.

His company Sea J Charters Ltd. started in 2005 with the purchase of a beautiful 2003 Grady-White 265 Express Fishing Vessel.

Karl has 32 years sport fishing guide experience in the Campbell River area and is qualified with credits in these courses. SVOP, MED A-3,  Restricted VHF Marine Radio Certificate,  Marine First Aid  and Certified Tidal Angling Guides course (C-TAG)

About our Fishing Vessel

Enjoy our 265 Express Grady-White covered Cruiser that is Transport Canada Certified. The vessel was re-powered in 2021 with new twin Yamaha F250 hp Four Stroke outboard engines and a new Yamaha 9.9 hp kicker in 2013. Other amenities on the boat include full onboard washroom facilities.

We use top quality gear to get you to the fish so your fishing experience is a memorable one.   All you need to purchase is your Fishing License before you come fishing – all the gear and bait will be provided.

Sea J Charters Ltd. is a Fully Licensed and Insured business and is located at Discovery Harbour Marina “F” Dock Slip 35  in Campbell River. We can cater to Families and Groups of up to six people at one time. If your party is larger please contact us and we will arrange for another boat to join us so that everyone on vacation will be involved.

Whether you are experienced or novice, we know we can provide a safe and wonderful experience at sea.

Types of Fish

Come fish for Chinnok Salmon (King), Coho Salmon(Silvers), Sockeye Salmon(Reds), Pink Salmon, Spring Salmon and Chum Salmon.

The Fishing Area

As a Professional Guide Karl is well aware of the Tidal Waters surrounding the Campbell River Area.  Come fish the Protected Waters around Campbell River on the Beautiful East Coast of Vancouver Island.  When you come out on a charter, chances are you’ll be able to spot some of our local wildlife. Eagles, Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Otters, Dolphins, Orcas, and Humpback Whales just to name a few.
